Launch of Second Licensing Round for Uganda
Ugandan Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Eng. Irene N Muloni is scheduled to launch the country’s second licensing round on 8th May 2019, during the 9th East African Petroleum Conference & Exhibition (EAPCE’19), at Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa, Kenya.
Uganda made its first commercial oil discovery in 2006. To date, over 121 wells have been drilled with a success rate of over 88%.
